Madhouse is born

Sometime in early 2017 (or maybe it was late 2016) we we're sitting in an office somewhere (or maybe it was a classroom) talking about what we wanted to do with our lives, post-MFA. It's a frightening term, "post-MFA" and we concluded that something needed to happen sooner rather than later. We were both working with Puerto del Sol and knew that we wanted to keep doing something of the like. So we decided to make something that wouldn't end when we graduated and after several days of looking up science-y words and eventually scrolling through a wormhole on the internet-thesaurus we landed on Asylum. Then we hit one more button on the thesaurus and Madhouse, like a raging star in the distant vacuum of space, was born.
