SUBMISSION POLICY
Madhouse Press operates solely through solicitations and queries. If you feel your manuscript is a fit, reach out to us HERE.
We do not have an open reading period and only respond to queries if we have interest in the book and have an open publication spot.
We seek innovative chapbooks that challenge, provoke, and investigate societal norms, accepted convictions, trauma
and violence. Entries from both emerging and established authors are welcome and accepted.

Each spring, Madhouse Press opens for our annual Editor's Prize, an award given to one chapbook length manuscript. The winner receives publication ( a print run of 100 letter-pressed, hand bound, chapbooks) and 15 author's copies. Madhouse Press is currently closed for submissions for the Editor's Prize. The Madhouse Press 2021 Editor’s Prize will open in late spring 2021.
